               Siemens AG one of the most successful conglomerates worldwide. Siemens AG is a German conglomerate(Combined) headquartered in Berlin and Munich but started out as a small company called Siemens and housekey which was founded by Verner von Siemens and Johann housekey in 1847 .

   Their company quickly grew based on the invention of a telegraph that used a needle to point to letters rather than using Morse code in 1848 .

                     the company also built the first long-distance telegraph line in Germany revolutionizing the telecommunications industry by 1907 Siemens was the seventh largest company in Germany  now 170 years.

1.      Siemens is the 49th most valuable brand in the world with a brand value of eleven point five billion dollars brand revenue of eighty four point seven billion and a market cap of one hundred nine point eight billion, Siemens has earned the 49th spot on the Forbes list of the world's most valuable brands placing them right behind pampers and right ahead of the Bank HSBC it's also 70th in profit 63rd in sales and 13th on the list of the world's best employers.

2.      Siemens holds around 63 thousand patents globally in 2017 Siemens filed around three thousand six hundred and fifty patents which was 150 more than they had filed the previous year globally the company currently holds around 63 thousand patents.

Siemens in Australia and New Zealand organized a world-record, effort to have the most lights lit by pedal power a total of 120 bikes were attached to alternators 112 of them were arranged in the shape of a Christmas tree and eight more. were set up on a stage in front of an audience the bikes were pedalled to create enough energy to light a total of 35,000 28 lights on a number of Christmas trees.

10. They bought the rolls-Royce energy business for 1.3 billion dollars. in 2014 rolls-royce agreed to sell their gas turbine and compressor energy business to Siemens for 1.3 billion dollars. 11.  Siemens was found guilty of paying bribes to secure contracts United States investigators found that Siemens had paid around 1.3 billion dollars in bribes. in many countries over five years time to secure contracts and kept separate books to cover up the illegal activity in 2008 .the company had to pay 1.6 billion dollars half to the US and half to Germany which was the largest bribery fine up until that point in history the company also had to spend 1 billion dollars to set up and fund new internal compliance regimens. Siemens did not plead guilty to bribery because that would bar them from contracting with the US government and they remain one of the u.s. military’s. most prominent contractors instead they pled guilty to violating accounting provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act . Siemens has since had to settle a number of other bribery charges from other regulatory bodies in a variety of countries.

12.Siemens wants to be the first major company to become carbon neutral in 2015 Siemens announced their plan to cut their co2 emissions by half by 2020 and to be completely carbon neutral by 2030. this would make them the first major company worldwide to completely erase their carbon footprint going forward since announcing the initiative. Siemens has already reduced their co2 emissions by 20% by investing over 118 million dollars in improving the energy efficiency of their own buildings and production facilities this will also save the company over 23 million dollars per year

Siemens supplied electrical parts to Nazi concentration camps Siemens. actually has a very dark past in connection with World War two and Germany.  the company exploited he forced labour of people in extermination camps and they actually owned a plant in the Auschwitz concentration camp and the company also supplied electrical parts to Nazi concentration and death camps.
